Elixir Shopify Theme Review (2026): Price, Pros, Cons and a Theme Store Alternative
Summarize this article with AI
An honest Elixir Shopify theme review: $200 price, licences, refunds, V2 and code, compared with Pops, a Theme Store alternative built on theme blocks.
Elixir is a paid Shopify theme sold by ECOM ELIXIR LLC on its own website, ecomelixir.com(opens in a new tab). It targets brands that run paid traffic to one or a few products, like supplements, gummies or a vacuum cleaner, and promises a store with “No Dropshipping Look”. It costs $200 for one store, and it is not on the Shopify Theme Store.
This Elixir theme review covers what the $200 buys, what the website says about refunds, updates and V2, and what we found in the code of its demo store. Then it compares Elixir with Pops, the newest theme from Trafik Plus, a Shopify Theme Store partner since 2022.
Disclosure: we make Pops. Elixir facts come from ecomelixir.com (product page, FAQ, refund policy and recent updates page) and from one of its demo stores, as of 20 October 2026. Where Elixir is the better choice, we say so.
The short answer
- Choose Elixir if you sell one hero product with paid ads, you want advertorials, listicles and quantity breaks inside the Shopify editor, and you are fine with no refunds and updating by hand.
- Choose Pops if you want a theme reviewed by Shopify, which you can try in your own store for free, update from the admin and build with theme blocks, especially if you sell food, drink or beauty products.
Elixir and Pops at a glance
Elixir
Elixir is built on Dawn, Shopify’s free reference theme. Its demo store runs version 1.6.2. The pitch is a theme “Built Based Off 8-Figure Brands”, with demo templates for a greens powder, a pheromone perfume, a meal replacement, an NAD supplement, sleep gummies and a pet digestion supplement, plus an advertorial and a listicle page.
It is sold with 24/7 support on Discord, lifetime V1 updates and a web portal to manage licences.
Pops
Pops is a Shopify Theme Store theme, built on theme blocks(opens in a new tab), with three presets: Pops (energy drinks), Lueur (makeup and skincare) and Scoop (protein cereal). It costs $400, one-time. As of 20 October 2026 it is still in Shopify’s review, so you cannot buy it yet. Its documentation(opens in a new tab) is in English and French.
Elixir price and licences
Elixir is a one-time payment, priced per store:
Licences | Price (USD) | Price per store |
|---|---|---|
1 store | $200 | $200 |
2 stores | $350 | $175 |
3 stores | $450 | $150, with priority support |
Prices are in US dollars, as shown on the Elixir product page(opens in a new tab) on 20 October 2026. In the euro market the same licences cost €181.95, €316.95 and €407.95. Parts of the page still compare Elixir against an older $175 price, so check the price in the cart.
There is no monthly fee. The page compares that with page builders: ClickFunnels at $147/month, Replo at $99 and PageFly or Shogun at $39.
Elixir V1 vs V2
What you buy today is Elixir V1. The FAQ promises lifetime V1 updates and early access to V2, and says V2 will add “quantity breaks and a custom cart experience”. On the timeline, it says “anywhere from 3-8 months is probable”.
V2 is not included in the V1 price: V1 buyers will get it at a discount, and the FAQ says you will not have to upgrade. If you buy now, budget for a second purchase if you want V2.
Elixir theme review: pros and cons
Pros
- Made for paid traffic. Advertorials, listicles and pre-landers are built into the theme editor, so you do not need a separate page builder for them.
- Many conversion blocks. Quantity breaks, benefit grids, stock and shipping indicators, guarantee badges, image and Facebook-style reviews, a Trustpilot rating, viewer counts, comparison tables, before/after and a sale countdown.
- A full cart. Shipping protection, a free shipping progress bar, upsells, a free gift label, a discount banner and payment icons.
- Active updates. Version 1.6 added a subscription block and bundle-and-save; 1.6.2 lists 12 new features, 73 improvements and 53 bug fixes.
- Cheaper per store if you run two or three stores.
Cons
- No refunds. The header shows a “30 Day Money Back Guarantee”, but the refund policy(opens in a new tab) says all sales are final and the theme follows a strict no-refund policy, waiving the EU 14-day right of withdrawal. The FAQ says the same.
- Not reviewed by Shopify. Elixir is not on the Theme Store, so nobody outside the seller has checked its performance, accessibility or code.
- Manual updates. To keep your customisations, the FAQ says you need to “merge the old JSON values with a couple of files”. An automatic updater is announced as almost finished.
- Minified code. Most of its CSS and JavaScript ships minified, which makes custom code harder (more on that below).
- Inconsistent numbers. The same page says over 5,000 stores and over 4,500 stores, and 70+ sections in one place, 25 in another.
- V2 costs extra, and has no release date.
Is the Elixir theme worth it?
For a one-product brand that spends on ads, $200 is less than two months of most page builders, and Elixir covers advertorials, quantity breaks and a cart with shipping protection in one theme. That is its real value.
The risk is in everything around the code: you cannot get your money back, you cannot try it in your own store first, and each update means downloading a new version and merging your settings. If those are deal-breakers, a Theme Store theme is the safer buy. See how to choose a theme on the Shopify Theme Store.
Design
Elixir’s demos look like modern direct-to-consumer brands: big product photos, rating lines, trust badges and comparison tables. They share the same structure, so most stores built with it follow the same supplement-brand playbook.
Pops leans on motion and colour: falling-content physics, a cursor trail, Lottie animations and one colour you can set across the product page(opens in a new tab). It is made for brands with a playful identity rather than a clinical one.
Building pages: theme blocks vs classic sections
Elixir follows Dawn’s model: sections with their own blocks. A block belongs to one section, so the same content has to be rebuilt in each section that needs it.
Pops is built on theme blocks(opens in a new tab). Blocks nest inside each other and work in any section that accepts them, so you build a layout once and reuse it. Few themes do this yet: see our list of Shopify themes using theme blocks.
Where Elixir wins: ready-made advertorial and listicle templates. Its advertorial demo(opens in a new tab) is a long-form sales page you can copy. Pops has no template for those; you would build them from its sections.
Product pages
Elixir’s product page is built for a single hero product: quantity breaks, a variant picker, benefits with emojis, stock and shipping indicators, guarantees, a product FAQ, image and video reviews, an award badge, a live viewer count and a replica warning.
Pops’ product information section(opens in a new tab) is built for ranges: combined listings, up to 2,048 variants, scheduled custom badges(opens in a new tab), pre-orders, a sticky add-to-cart and a nutrition table with Nutri-Score for food and drink.
Cart and order value
Elixir puts its upsells in the cart: shipping protection, a progress bar, social proof, product upsells and a free gift label. It also has a bundle builder page.
Pops has a build-a-box(opens in a new tab) of up to 24 products with 4 discount tiers and a progress bar, cart recommendations(opens in a new tab) of 2 to 10 products, a shareable cart link(opens in a new tab), a countdown(opens in a new tab) and stories(opens in a new tab). More on boxes in our guide on how to create a build-a-box on Shopify.
Under the hood: code and updates
We opened the code of Elixir’s demo store. It reports a theme named “Elixir”, version 1.6.2, with no Theme Store ID, and Dawn’s file names. Of the 65 theme CSS and JavaScript files loaded on its home page, 55 are minified: global.js is 25.8 KB on 3 lines and cart.js 33.7 KB on 3 lines. The code is minified, not obfuscated, and its utility CSS uses Tailwind 4.
Minified files are hard to read and edit, which matters if a developer adds custom code. It is also one of the things Shopify’s Theme Store requirements(opens in a new tab) do not allow, which is one reason a theme like Elixir is sold outside the store. The licence key is built into the theme code, which the refund policy(opens in a new tab) gives as one reason refunds are not possible.
Elixir’s recent updates page(opens in a new tab) shows only version 1.5.0, while the product page lists 1.6, 1.6.1 and 1.6.2. Updates come “every few weeks”, according to the FAQ, and each one means installing the new version and moving your settings over.
Pops ships readable vanilla JavaScript web components, with a JavaScript events API(opens in a new tab) for apps and custom code. As a Theme Store theme, it meets Shopify’s Lighthouse minimums (60 for performance, 90 for accessibility), and updates install from the Shopify admin.
Price, licence and support
- Elixir: $200 per store, $450 for three. No refunds. Support on Discord, 24/7, priority support with three licences. You buy it on ecomelixir.com and upload the theme.
- Pops: $400, one-time, from the Theme Store. You can try it in your own store for free until you publish. Updates are free and install from the admin. Support comes from Trafik Plus.
Elixir is cheaper. Pops costs more, and you can test it on your own products before paying.
Elixir vs Shrine
People who look at Elixir often look at Shrine too: both are sold outside the Theme Store to one-product and dropshipping stores. We compared Shrine, Shrine Pro and Pops in a separate review.
Which one should you choose?
- Elixir if you sell one product through paid ads, you want advertorials and listicles without a page builder, and the no-refund policy and manual updates do not bother you.
- Pops if you sell a range of food, drink or beauty products, you want to build pages with theme blocks, and you want a theme Shopify has reviewed, with a free trial and updates from the admin.
- Neither if you want something else: browse our Shopify themes or read Pops vs Shapes.
How we compared
We make Pops, so what we say about it comes from the theme itself. We read ecomelixir.com (product page, FAQ, refund policy, recent updates page) and opened one of its demo stores in the browser on 20 October 2026. We have not bought Elixir; nothing here comes from inside the paid download. Where a feature is not mentioned on a source, the table says “Not mentioned” rather than “No”. Prices are in US dollars, excluding tax.

FAQ
Is the Elixir Shopify theme worth it?
It can be, if you run paid traffic to one or a few products and want advertorials, listicles and conversion blocks without paying for a page builder. Weigh that against the no-refund policy, the manual updates and the fact that Shopify has not reviewed it.
How much does the Elixir theme cost?
$200 for one store, $350 for two and $450 for three, one-time, as of 20 October 2026. The page also shows euro prices from €181.95.
Is Elixir on the Shopify Theme Store?
No. Elixir is sold by ECOM ELIXIR LLC on ecomelixir.com. Its demo store reports no Theme Store ID.
Can I get a refund on Elixir?
Its refund policy says all sales are final and no refunds are given, even though the site’s banner mentions a 30-day money back guarantee. Ask support in writing before you buy if this matters to you.
When is Elixir V2 coming out?
The FAQ says 3 to 8 months is probable, with no date. V1 owners will be offered V2 at a discount; it is not included in the V1 price.
Is there a free Elixir theme download?
No official one. Elixir is licence-locked, so a “free download” or “cracked” copy is unlicensed and will not receive updates. Use the demo stores to judge it.
What is the best Elixir alternative?
If you want a theme reviewed by Shopify, with updates from the admin and a free trial in your store, look at Shopify Theme Store themes. Pops is ours, made for food, drink and beauty brands.
Elixir or Shrine?
Both are sold outside the Theme Store to dropshipping and one-product stores. We compared Shrine and Shrine Pro with Pops in a separate article.
