10 Best Volume Discount Shopify Apps in 2026 (Tested)

15 min read

Summarize this article with AI

The 10 best Shopify volume discount apps for 2026, compared on free plans, pricing as you grow, and features, from Snap Bundle to Kaching and Fast Bundle.

Looking for a Shopify volume discount app in the Shopify App Store can be challenging, since a lot of apps do the same thing. Search for "volume discount" and you get dozens of apps promising quantity breaks, tiered pricing and a higher average order value (AOV).

The differences show up in the details: whether the free plan works on a live store, how the bill grows with your sales, and which discount types are included. We compared the 10 most relevant volume discount apps on those points, using each app's Shopify App Store listing as of September 2026.

The short answer: Snap Bundle is the best pick if you want a free plan on a live store and a flat price after that. Kaching Bundles is the most reviewed option, with A/B testing. Discounty suits merchants who want sale scheduling and bulk price edits more than bundles.

New to bundles? Start with our guide to what bundles are in ecommerce, with the main types of product bundles and how to price them.

What is a Shopify volume discount app?

A volume discount app lowers the unit price when a customer buys more of a product. "Buy 1 at full price, 2 for 10% off, 3 for 20% off" is a volume discount. The app shows those quantity breaks on the product page, usually as selectable tiers, and applies the discount in the cart and at checkout.

You'll see the same idea under several names:

  • Quantity breaks: the tiers shown on the product page (1, 2 or 3 units).
  • Tiered pricing or tiered discounts: a different price or percentage at each quantity level.
  • Bulk discounts: larger discounts for large orders, common in wholesale and B2B.
  • Buy more, save more: the same mechanic applied to the cart total rather than a single product.

Shopify's built-in automatic discounts can do a basic "buy X, get % off" rule, but they don't show tiers on the product page and only offer one threshold per discount. That is the gap these apps fill.

Why volume discounts increase AOV

A volume discount makes the second and third unit cheaper than the first. For consumables (skincare, supplements, coffee, pet food) or giftable products, many customers were going to buy again anyway. The tier nudges them to buy now, in one order.

For the store, that means a higher average order value, and shipping and payment costs spread over more units, so the discount often costs less than it looks. Price the top tier so your margin still holds after the discount, and highlight the middle tier as the "most popular" option.

Your Shopify plan

Ratings and prices from each app's Shopify App Store listing, checked 24 September 2026. Prices are monthly billing in USD.

How we picked these apps

We started from the apps Shopify returns for "volume discount" and kept the ones whose main job is quantity breaks or tiered pricing. Each one had to:

  • Have the Built for Shopify badge, Shopify's mark for apps that meet its performance and design standards. All 10 apps below have it.
  • Show the tiers on the product page, not only apply a discount at checkout.

We then compared what each app costs as sales grow, which discount types it includes, and what it leaves out. We make Snap Bundle, the first app on the list, so we've kept its weak points in plain view and linked every listing for you to check.

How to choose the right volume discount app

Check whether the free plan works on a live store

Several apps are only free on development stores, the test stores Shopify Partners use before launch. If you want to test volume discounts on real traffic before paying, look for a free plan that works on live stores: Snap Bundle, Pumper, Rapi, Discounty and P: Quantity Breaks all have one.

Work out what you'll pay as you grow

Most apps charge by the revenue their offers generate. That seems fair at first, but the bill rises as your bundles succeed. Here is what each revenue-based app costs per month at three levels of app revenue, on monthly billing:

List the discount types you need

Quantity breaks are standard. BOGO, free gifts, mix & match, build-a-box, post-purchase upsells and cart-value ("buy more, save more") discounts are not in every app. For wholesale or B2B pricing, check for customer-tag targeting.

Check it uses Shopify Functions

Apps that apply discounts through Shopify Functions work with Shopify's native checkout and combine more predictably with your other discounts. Avoid running two discount apps on the same product, because their discounts can stack on the same order.

Decide if you need A/B testing

If you want to test which tiers convert best, Kaching, Rapi, Wide Bundles and P: Quantity Breaks include A/B testing. Snap Bundle does not yet.

How to set up a volume discount on Shopify with Snap Bundle

Setting up your first quantity breaks takes about 10 minutes:

  1. Install Snap Bundle from the Shopify App Store(opens in a new tab). The free plan works on your live store.
  2. Create a volume discount offer and pick the products it applies to.
  3. Set your tiers, for example 1 unit at full price, 2 units at 10% off, 3 units at 15% off. Add a free gift to the top tier if you like.
  4. Add the Snap Bundle block to your product template in the theme editor.
  5. Place a test order to check the discount applies in the cart and at checkout.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is a Shopify volume discount app?

An app that lowers the unit price when a customer buys more of a product. It shows quantity tiers on the product page and applies the discount in the cart and at checkout.

  • Can Shopify do volume discounts without an app?

Partly. Shopify's automatic discounts can apply a percentage off above a minimum quantity, but they don't show tiers on the product page and each discount has only one threshold. An app adds the tier widget and multiple levels.

  • Can I create tiered pricing with a volume discount app?

Yes. Every app on this list lets you set a different discount at each quantity level, such as 10% off 2 units and 20% off 3 units.

  • How do volume discounts increase AOV on Shopify?

They make each extra unit cheaper, so customers buy more units in one order. That raises the average order value and spreads shipping and payment costs over more items.

  • What is the best free volume discount app for Shopify?

Snap Bundle is free on live stores until its offers generate $500 in a month, with unlimited campaigns. Pumper, Rapi, Discounty and P: Quantity Breaks also have free plans, with lower limits.

  • Can I offer wholesale or B2B volume pricing?

Yes. Snap Bundle can target offers by customer tag, and Hulk and Kaching list wholesale pricing. Tag your wholesale customers and show them their own tiers.

Conclusion

Every app on this list can add quantity breaks to your product pages. The real differences are in how the price grows with your sales and which extra discount types you get.

  • Best free plan and flat pricing: Snap Bundle
  • Most established, with A/B testing: Kaching Bundles
  • AI bundle recommendations: Fast Bundle
  • Scheduled sales and bulk price edits: Discounty
  • Most discount types in one app: P: Quantity Breaks & BOGO

If you want to start free and keep your bill flat as your bundle revenue grows, try Snap Bundle. It costs nothing until $500 a month in bundle revenue, and $12.99 a month after that, however much you sell.
