The problem
Build-your-own boxes sell more units per order, but offering one on Shopify usually means a bundle app and its monthly fee.
The solution
PopsSaves €23/month has a build-a-box section. Pick a collection; shoppers choose products, with a variant dropdown or buttons and colour swatches, and add them to the box within the minimum and maximum quantity you set. Up to four discount tiers (e.g. 15% off from 2 items) are shown with a progress bar, and the box total updates as they go. One button adds everything to the cart.
The section shows the discount; it doesn’t apply it. Products go to the cart at their normal price, so create automatic discounts in Shopify that match your tiers.
How it works

Add the section
Add the build-a-box section to a page and choose the collection shoppers pick from.

Set box size and tiers
Set the minimum and maximum number of items, and the item count and percentage for each tier.

Create the matching discounts
In Shopify → Discounts, create automatic discounts with the same thresholds so checkout charges the price the box shows.
Questions merchants ask
Is the box discount applied at checkout automatically?
Not by the theme. The box adds the products at their normal price and shows the discount the shopper has reached. Create automatic discounts in Shopify with the same tiers so the checkout total matches.
Can I limit how many items go in a box?
Yes. The section has a minimum and a maximum quantity.
